    MPCA Successfully Launches Brad Krevoy Television with Hiring of Executives
    Amanda Phillips Atkins Appointed VP of Development and Acquisitions, Corrie Rothbart Named CFO

    LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12, 2016 — MPCA, now celebrating its 29th year in business, has announced the launch of Brad Krevoy Television (BKTV), along with the hiring and promotion of new creative and business executives. Joining MPCA are Amanda Phillips Atkins as Vice President of Development and Acquisitions, Corrie Rothbart as Chief Financial Officer, and recently promoted is Vince Balzano to Director of Development and Production.

    Phillips Atkins heads the creative development of MPCA’s entire slate of projects and finds new material for series, TV movies, miniseries and theatrical productions. Rothbart, previously CFO at Voltage Pictures, oversees all financial and strategic planning of the company, including the negotiation of all single-picture loans and other production finance, corporate treasury and day-to-day operations. Balzano provides creative input, analysis, and evaluation of projects, and also oversees legal delivery of in-house productions to domestic and international distributors.

    Recently, Brad Krevoy Television produced several successful Hallmark Channel Holiday Movies including A Christmas Detour starring Candace Cameron Bure, Crown for Christmas with Danica McKellar, the Mariah Carey directed A Christmas Melody, with Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott, Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas and When Calls the Heart: New Year’s Wish, starring Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin and Jack Wagner. For Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, BKTV produced Murder, She Baked: Plum Pudding and Peach Cobbler, starring Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison, as well as Flower Shop Mystery: Mum’s the Word, starring Brooke Shields and Beau Bridges. All debuted to record high ratings and trended on social media.

    Amanda Phillips Atkins was previously Co-Executive Producer at Larry Levinson Productions, where she oversaw the development of over 40 miniseries and TV movies (partnered with networks including Hallmark, Lifetime, NBC, CBS, SyFy and Spike) from initial concept through production, script, casting, prep, and post. Phillips Atkins also contributed to the launch of the PixL Movie Channel by managing its original programming slate. She also held the positions of Director of Development and International Relations Manager at LLP. Phillips Atkins started her television career at the Disney Channel. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television.

    Corrie Rothbart was most recently the Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations at Indigenous Media, a next generation studio focused on producing original content for emerging and traditional platforms worldwide, as well as multi-platform content brands. Prior to that assignment, Rothbart served as CFO for a number of premier independent film financing, production and sales companies, most notably 3 ½ years at Voltage Pictures (The Hurt Locker, Dallas Buyers Club) and 4 years at NALA Films (In the Valley of Elah). She also held financial executive positions at ICM talent agency and Gold Circle Films, a successful independent film production finance and production company (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).
