Roger Corman was my mentor, partner and friend for several decades. He was a brilliant director, a prolific producer, and a savvy distributor. His motto was, always tell the best story at a reasonable cost.
Roger launched the careers of the greatest filmmakers and actors in Hollywood. His skills as a director, producer, and distributor earned him an Academy Award, along with many other awards and accolades around the world.
Roger’s influence on the film industry will be felt for generations to come. We have lost one of the most important and influential filmmakers in the history of this business, not to mention one of the kindest, most intelligent, and caring people that I’ve ever known.
I’m grateful for the times we spent together and, like the many others whose lives were changed by Roger for the better, he will be missed dearly, every single day. My family and I send our condolences and love to his wife of 53 years, Julie, and to his talented and accomplished children.
