An aspiring New York actress who is considering abandoning her dream and taking a real job in Chicago following years of near-misses and bit parts, lands the role of a lifetime in a new production of A Christmas Carol. However, the plays director is a successful TV actor, and the one she blames for her biggest professional disappointment.
Instead she finds romance with her co-star and a renewed passion for her craft and the city. But when the historic theater loses its lease and the show is set to fold, she and her cast mates need a Christmas miracle.
