Motion Picture Corporation of America (“MPCA”) was co-founded by Brad Krevoy in 1986 to focus on producing, acquiring, and distributing commercial motion picture and television productions. Since its inception, MPCA has produced, acquired, and distributed over 100 movies, including more than 20 major studio theatrical releases. MPCA is best known for its ability to produce commercial feature comedies, including DUMB AND DUMBER, the Farrelly Brothers’ first feature film starring Jim Carrey, which generated gross worldwide box office of $250 million; KINGPIN starring Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid, and Bill Murray; BEVERLY HILLS NINJA starring Chris Farley; and Disney’s JUNGLE 2 JUNGLE starring Tim Allen.

MPCA recently produced TAKING CHANCE starring Kevin Bacon for HBO Films, which received 10 Emmy nominations including Outstanding Made for Television Movie, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Mini Series or a Movie (Kevin Bacon), Outstanding Directing (Ross Katz), and Outstanding Writing (Lt. Col. Strobl and Ross Katz). TAKING CHANCE is based on the heartwarming story of military escort Lt. Col. Michael Strobl’s journey across America to bring fallen Marine PFC Chance Phelps to rest with his family. MPCA’s other recent productions include LINEWATCH, a hard-hitting action film starring Cuba Gooding Jr. as a New Mexico Border Patrol Agent for Sony Pictures, and the forthcoming sci-fi action thriller HARDWIRED for Sony Pictures, which also stars Cuba Gooding Jr., as well as Val Kilmer.

MPCA is currently in development on the English-language remake of the blockbuster Japanese motion picture YOMIGAERI (aka RESURRECTION) for DreamWorks which is being written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin (GHOST, THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE). MPCA also has secured the English-language remake rights to this year’s Academy Award-winning Foreign Language film, DEPARTURES. Additionally, MPCA is in pre-production on BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA 2 for Disney; two Syfy Original Movies; an underground MMA action/fighting movie; and a science-fiction/serial killer thriller starring Cuba Gooding Jr.

Earlier this year, MPCA was engaged by Tim Allen’s Boxing Cat Films to represent his first independently produced film, CRAZY ON THE OUTSIDE. Directed by and starring Allen, the family comedy boasts an all-star cast including Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta, J.K. Simmons, Jean Tripplehorn and Kelsey Grammer. MPCA successfully concluded a deal with Disney for the distribution of all international rights to the picture.

Other recent MPCA acquisitions include THE SLAMMIN’ SALMON, the Broken Lizard comedy troupe’s follow-up to SUPER TROOPERS and BEERFEST; KILLER MOVIE starring Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester and Lost’s Nestor Carbonell; and the family film, MOONDANCE ALEXANDER, starring Don Johnson, Lori Laughlin, and Kay Panabaker, which was released by Fox Faith in North America.

In addition to its vigorous acquisitions arm, MPCA also oversees domestic and international sales for its in-house productions and enjoys long-term relationships with all the major studios and broadcasters. Among the titles MPCA has sold worldwide are the Sundance Film Festival premiere BOOKIES; the action pictures BLAST, SECOND IN COMMAND, and THE HARD CORPS; horror film STEPHEN KING’S RIDING THE BULLET; sci-fi thriller SLIPSTREAM; and the comedies NATIONAL LAMPOON PRESENTS BARELY LEGAL and BOAT TRIP starring Cuba Gooding Jr.

To date, MPCA’s motion picture and television projects have grossed more than $650 million worldwide in all media, earning the company its reputation as a leading provider of commercial motion picture product at all budget levels and an aggressive sales and marketing force with U.S. studios and international buyers.
