Most Recent 1-Hour Episode Becomes the Most-Watched and Highest-Rated of the Season
The third season of MPCA’s original primetime series, When Calls the Heart, is in full swing with the newest episode averaging a 2.3 HH rating and 2.6 million Total Viewers on a Live+3 basis, becoming the highest-rated and most-watched 1-hour episode among HHs and Total Viewers this season. In the series’ 9pm time period, the Sunday, March 13th premiere elevated Hallmark Channel to be the 2nd highest rated network among HHs and Total Viewers, excluding news programming.
The series also continues to ring in social media success, with last Sunday’s episode becoming the network’s most social program of all time. The premiere garnered the highest Tweets of any Hallmark Channel series, movie, or special premiere and registered 7% growth over the previous record holder, held by this season’s fourth episode and prior to that, its third episode, marking three consecutive weeks of social media history for the network. Competitively, the episode was the 2nd most-Tweeted series airing a new episode during Sunday Total Day.
